Tonga's has only one full-ISP service through Tonga Communications Corporation. For those without the need for full Internet services, e-mail only service and Internet Cafe's are available.

A new ISP currently working only with high-bandwidth customers is Tonfon, available at http://www.tonfon.to.
Internet Cyber-cafes
There are a number of entrepreneurs springing up with Internet Cafe's in Tonga. One of course we operate and would dearly love your visit, but here is a list that hopefully isn't getting old. The below locations are all on Tongatapu.
You will find that many of the Guest Houses, BackPackers Hostels provide a computer with Internet access for guests.
CyberCentral - beside the New Zealand High Commission is I believe the longest running cyber-cafe in Tonga. Originally located nearby at the TCF Supermarket facilities they have been operational in their current location from 2002.
GameStop - that's us, so visit when you get in, spend money if you can. We're inside the Tungi Arcade behind the Air New Zealand office, and the Friendly Islands Bookshop (the country's biggest book store.) We hope to be offering you better machines and a better Internet connection at the best local prices.

Pacific Royale Business Center - part of the Pacific Royale Hotel's services began operations in 2002 and offers additional services such as telephone, facsimile and secretarial work. I don't think they run a coffee cafe, but your right beside their bar so you can probably get a drink from them.
Melie mei Langi - at the Fakafanua Center, Ma'ufanga, began operations late 2002 offering internet access as well as membership programs.
How Pervasive is Internet Access ?
Less than 1% of the population is connected, while the remainder have only heard of the Web, never having seen it before. The probabilities are that a phone call or letter will find someone faster than trying to get one of the e-mail connected to make contact.
Full Internet access is (practically) only available in Tongatapu. If you are visiting our outer islands there is no practical Internet access and other telephony services (facsimile, voice) may be limited.
The schools wish they were on the 'Net, but with difficulties supplying basic needs such as text books, there is increasing difficulty in supplying computers, telephone connections, networks, let alone the Internet connection fee.
For a listing of those people with e-mail addresses' in Tonga, one place to look is the Tonga Communications Corporation e-mail subscribers. Although some people may have HOTMAIL or other mail accounts, the majority of e-mail customers are most likely to be on the above service.

E-mail only services
Dandin Group Tonga (formerly Moore Electronics) provides an e-mail only service on their mail server @tongatapu.net.to. For an e-mail address either contact the postmaster or visit their store at the Tungi Arcade shopping centre.

The email only services allows Dandin Group to offer much lower rates (both dial-up and use of terminals) for using e-mail than any other service in Tonga.
