Myths, Fairytales, Folklore have given way to Fantasia, Hanna Babara, Industrial Light & Magic.
Meanwhile, visitors and residents continue to enhance the local folklore through their own creations whether they be long winded tales or small tidbits, all adding to the script available describing and emphasising the culture's desirable norms or creating a fantasy revolving around our little island. In our little Kingdom, a small group of friends gather (very infrequently) to share/swap written pieces/attempts at short stories to share the experiences, expectations on our islands.
Attempts have been made to properly collate and share these stories and here in these pages are the first publications of these stories. These pages are in part a reflections and embellishments of what it is to be here in the Kingdom of Tonga during modern times as opposed to the oral traditions and their capture of the distant/formative past.
